Seymour has a 20% share of the total magazine market and the Frontline Group, including Seymour, has 59% share. This gives us the stability and clout to drive your magazine sales, in an increasingly volatile market place. More importantly, we have a 49% share of the 3rd party magazine market meaning that we are the preferred choice of distributor for independent magazine publishers.
As well as this, Seymour is the largest distributor of UK magazines internationally, exporting magazines to over 90 countries; we are additionally the largest importer of foreign magazine titles into the UK.
At Gold Key Media we specialise in audience engagement and sampling programmes across the UK, Europe, USA, and the Middle East. Our heritage is publisher based, and we work with the biggest names in the newspaper and magazine industry. We represent over 300 international publishers, sampling and selling over 60 million newspaper and magazine copies per annum and helping them to improve their revenue streams.
We reach influential and commercially valuable audiences in their core target market, and help them to expand into new areas that add measurable value to their advertising proposition. We also support sampling activities for a range of non-publishing products such as cosmetics, food and beverage and confectionary.
We have developed our relationships with the corporate, leisure, travel, luxury and event sectors worldwide over the past 17 years, and we have approved access to some of the most impressive domestic and international venues across the world.

What We Do
Frontline’s history started in 1986, when it was created by the magazine publisher Emap. The vision was to create the first dedicated magazine circulation and distribution business managed by specialist and experts in this field.
The value of such an organisation was quickly recognised by other publishers and in 1988 Frontline gained its first new Joint Venture partner; Haymarket Publishing (now Haymarket Media Group). Two years later BBC Enterprises (now BBC Worldwide / Immediate Media Company) entered the JV partnership to create the largest magazine sales, marketing and distribution company.
The partners soon recognised that Frontline’s operational expertise could be offered as a valuable service to other publishers in the UK. So in 1994, Seymour Distribution was created through a Joint Venture agreement between Frontline and Hachette Distribution Services focussing on fulfilling the distribution requirements of independent publishers.
